Hafiz-e-Quran stabbed dead in Cox’s Bazar

A Hafiz-e-Quran (who have completely memorised the Quran) was reportedly stabbed to death in Ukhia upazila of Cox’s Bazar district on Saturday.
Deceased Saddam Hossain, 22, was the son of Amir Hossain, a resident of Dhoilla Ghona village in the upazila.
Locals said one villager Abdul Wahab stabbed Saddam in front of Dhoilla Ghona Mosque on Saturday afternoon over trifling matter. Injured Saddam was, first, taken to Kutupalong MSF hospital and, later, shifted to Chattogram Medical College Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries on Sunday night.
Ukhia Police Station officer in-charge (OC) Ahmed Sanjur Morshed said a murder case was filed in this connection and police are trying to arrest the accused.
