The right-handed batsman Gurkeerat Singh scored an unbeaten 71-run off 88-ball along with Nayeem Islam (11 n.o) as Gazi Group chased down the winning target making 276 with five balls remaining. Gurkeerat hammered five boundaries and two over boundaries after Mominul Haque and skipper Imrul
Kayes paved the way with a solid 11-run second wicket stand.
The southpaw batsman Momunul smashed 49-ball off 57 runs studded with five boundaries and two over boundaries while Imrul blasted 56-ball off 65-run, an innings studded with six boundaries and four over boundaries.
Nihaduzzaman, Mehedi Hasan Rana and Khaled Ahmed shared two wickets each for Brothers Union Club.
Earlier, put to bat first by Gazi Group, Brothers Union Club, riding on Debabrata Das’s polish 112-run knock, scored a competitive total of 273 for 5 from their allotted 50 overs.
The Indian recruit Das made a quick fire 109-ball off 112 that contained seven boundaries and six over boundaries and later Yasir Ali blasted 36-ball off 54-run steering Brothers Union Club to set a challenging target for Gazi.
Nayeem Hasan and Ruhel Ahmed proved to be the most successful bowlers as the duo captured two wickets each for Gazi.
