Gunmen kill 3 staff of Turkish consulate in Iraq’s Erbil

BAGHDAD, (Xinhua) :
Unidentified gunmen shot dead three staff of the Turkish consulate on Wednesday in the city of Erbil, the capital of the semi-autonomous region of Kurdistan, a Kurdish security source said.
The incident took place in the afternoon when gunmen opened fire on the
 Turkish consulate’s personnel at a restaurant in Kolan Street near the consulate in central Erbil, some 375 km north of Iraqi capital Baghdad, the source told Xinhua on condition of anonymity.
The attack resulted in the killing of three staff of the consulate, including the deputy consul, the source said, adding that the bodies of the killed staff were transferred to a nearby hospital.
