Several rounds of gun shots were fired at Rezaur Rahman Rendu, Awami League nominated chairman candidate to Singhajhuli union council on Wednesday night, Ziaur Rahman, younger brother of the candidate claimed.
He alleged that the AL rebel candidate Badol Hossain’s men fired several rounds of gun shots at Rendu at Garibpur New Market area at around 9:30pm on Wednesday.
The rebel candidate, however, denied the allegation. He asked the police to find out the fact. Moshiur Rahman, officer in-charge, told that they received a complaint about the matter. ‘ Action will be taken after having an investigation’, he added.
