Gun-shot injury of travel-mate of Hasanat’s son creates sensation

The incident of severe gun-shot injury of Nirob Hossain Tutul, a travel-mate of Hasanat’s son Sadik Abdullah and maintaining strict secrecy about the matter, created sensation in the city.
Tutul, 38, Joint Secretary of Barisal Matsya Aratdar Samity and a leader of Jubo League was injured in a room of Hotel Sea View in Kuakata on Friday afternoon and after giving treatment at Patuakhali general hospital admitted at Fair Health Clinic in Barisal.
Tutul sent to Dhaka at about 1:30 AM early Saturday after his condition deteriorated, said Shoyeb Ahmed, deputy commissioner (headquarter) Barisal Metropolitan Police after visiting the clinic.
Severely injured victim Tutul, son of Harunur Rashid from Beni Sigher Havely in Nazirerpol area of the city, was one of the closest associates of central Jobo League leader Sadik Abdullah, son of district AL president, lawmaker, cousin of AL chairperson Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and former chief whip Abul Hasanat Abdullah.
Sources said Tutul as a close friend and travel-mate of Sadik Abdullah went Kuakata sea beach of Friday afternoon.

Solaiman Islam, manager of Hotel Sea View at Kuakata, denying giving any details told local journalists that Sadik with his 50 associates boarded in this hotel at 3:00 PM Friday. Before evening a sound came from room no.1 on first floor of the hotel and one bloodstained injured sent from there to Barisal.

Sub Inspector Sanjoy Mandal, Kuakata police investigation post in charge, said hearing injury of one by shot-gun, police rushed to the spot. But the victim sent to Barisal before police reached there. No incident of road accident was reported till that.

Dr. Dilruba Aktar of Patuakhali General Hospital, denying to elaborate nature of injury said the victim referred to Barisal SBMCH after supplying one bag of blood and saline.

Some youth registered name of Tutul in Barisal SBMCH as road-accident victim at 9:15 PM Friday, but the victim did not reached there, said Dr. Habibur Rahman, emergency medical officer.
