Gulshan Youth Club coasted to an emphatic seven-wicket Kathalbagan Green Crescent Club in the Dhaka Second Division Cricket League held on Tuesday at Fatullah Outer Stadium in Fatullah.
Favored by coin, Kathalbagan Green Crescent Club decided to bat first but was cheaply dismissed for 142 in 47.4 overs with Rajib Hossain contributing unbeaten 49 runs.
Pratap Kumar was the pick of Gulshan Youth Club bowler as he captured four Green Crescent’s wickets giving away 31 runs.
Chasing a winning target of 143 runs set by Green Crescent, Gulshan Youth hardly had to sweat as they comfortably reached the target in 40 overs for the loss of three wickets in hand.
Opener Mehedi Hasan Sawon guided Gulshan towards the victory to remain unbeaten with 89 runs along with Khaled Masud (20 n.o).
Suman Ur Rahman of Khathalbagan captured two wickets giving away 28 runs.
