Gulshan Youth Club Green team emerged as the champions of the Gulshan Youth Club-Northrn Hatchery Independence Day Inter Club Tennis Tournament when they beat Gulshan Youth Club Yellow team in the final at the tennis court of Gulshan Youth Club recently.
After the final match Senior Secretary of Economic Relations Division Mohammad Mezbahuddin, President of Gulshan Youth Club Rafez Alam Chowdhury and the officials of the clubs and the players were present at the prize-giving ceremony.
A total of 21 teams including 15 teams from Dhaka and rest six from outside the capital took part in the tennis competition.
The participating teams were: Azimpur Tennis Club, Army Officers’ Tennis Club, Bagerhat Tennis Club, Bangladesh Police Club, Bagha Club, Cox’s Bazar Tennis Club, Dutch Club, Engineers’ Recreation Club, Gulshan Club, Gulshan Youth Club A, B and C, Manikganj Tennis Club, Magura Tennis Club, Mymenisngh Club, Munshiganj President Raja Tennis Club, Navy Club, Netrokona Tennis Club, Officer’s Club Team 1 and 2, Parliament Members’ Club and Uttara Club.
It is noteworthy that The New Nation and Radio Today were media partners of the tournament.
