The fire that broke out at high-rise Gulshan Tower in the city’s Gulshan area on Thursday evening has been brought under control. Bhajan Kumar Sarker, duty officer at Fire Service Central Control Room, said the fire originated on the ground floor of the 13-storey building at Gulshan-2 at 6:03pm. On information, 12 fire-fighting units rushed and brought the fire under control at about 6:35pm. However, the reason behind the fire and the extent of losses could not be known yet.
