Ground breaking ceremony of CUET female hall begins

The ground breaking ceremony of the women hall of Chittagong University of Engineering & Technology (CUET) began on Thursday at university campus through laying foundation stone of the construction work .
The hall is being built with the financial assistance of AK Khan Foundation at a cost of Tk.11.50 crores. About 300 female students will get accommodation facility in this new hall . The hall named as Begum Shamsun Nahar Hall beside the existing Sufia Kamal Hall.
 In the inaugural ceremony of the construction work , CUET vice chancellor Prof . Dr. Md. Jahangir Alam , Pro-VC Prof. Dr. Rafiqul Alam, Managing Director of AK Khan Group Salahuddin Kashem Khan, Chairman of AK Khan Group Mr. Jebun Nahar Islam, Deputy Managing Director AM Ziauddin Khan , Vice chairman Begum Latifa Siddqui, Deans of CUET, Departmental Heads, Directors, Provosts and senior officials of AK Khan group and CuET were present on the occasion.
CUET vice chancellor in his address of welcome said this day is one of the remarkable day of the history of CUET.
He said CUET is facing accommodation crisis since long and hence , we had to suffer miseries in transporting the female students from city areas. In this critical juncture, AK Khan Foundation showed a humanitarian contribution to this university which is unforgettable.
He said the members of CUET family are very much grateful to the family members of AK Khan group and the AK Khan Foundation.  
Trusty Secretary of AK Khan Foundation and Managing Director of AK Khan Group Salahuddin Kashem Khan said CUET contributing pioneering role in technical education in the country and I am very much happing knowing the future education curriculum of IT sector.
