A grocery shopkeeper has been killed in a collision between a truck and a human hauler at Puthia upazila in Rajahahi district.
The incident took place at Senbag area on the Rajshahi-Natore highway around 6.30 am on Saturday morning that also left four others injured.
The deceased was identified as Sadananda Ghosh, 45, a resident of Salua village under Charghat upazila in the district.
Confirming the matter, Puthia Police Station inspector Lutfor Rahman said the accident occurred when the truck collided head-on with the human hauler, leaving Sadananda dead on the spot four others injured.
The injured persons– Milon Uddin, 30, Bahar Ali, 27, Joynal Abedeen, 43, and Razufa Begum, 25– are undergoing treatment at Rajshahi Medical College Hospital, he added.
