Economic Reporter :Green Delta Insurance Company Limited has been awarded recently the Gold Award for its strict adherence under Insurance category to corporate governance and management in running the businessTwenty-eight listed companies were awarded for ‘Promoting Governance Excellence’ in 2014. This is the 2nd accolade for the country’s listed companies, presented by Institute of Chartered Secretaries of Bangladesh (ICSB). The awards were given on ten different categories having three awards in each category. The categories were banking, non- banking financial institutions, insurance, pharmaceutical and chemicals, textile and RMG, food and allied IT telecom and services, engineering, manufacturing, fuel and power. .Finance Minister Abul Maal Abdul Muhith MP graced the occasion as the chief guest and handed over the awards to the winners, while Prof Dr M Khairul Hossain, Chairman of Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission and Hedayetullah Al Mamun, Senior Secretary of Commerce Ministry were present as special guest. Mohammad Asad Ullah FCS presided over the Award ceremony.
