Grass roots level meeting of the Chattogram City Awami league was held at Ladies Club Hall in the city yesterday with Acting President of city Awami league Mahatabuddin Chowdhury in the chair.
Minister for Bridges and secretary general of AL Obaidul Kader graced the occasion as chief guest. Minister for works, Engr. Mosharraf Hossain was present in it as special guest. Central organizing secretary ALK Enamul Hoque shamim delivered address of welcome in it.
Among others, city mayor and city general secretary AJM Nasir Uddin, City Vice president and Minister for expatriate and foreign employment Nurul Islam BSc, Vice President and former Minister Dr Afsarul Amin, central Organising Secretary Barrister Mohibul Hasan Nowfel , Office- Secretary Barrister Biplob Barua , Vice President Khorshed Alam Sujon, Adv Ibrahim Hossain Babul, Nayeem Uddin Chowdhury, Altaf Hossain Bachchu were present in it.
The meeting arranged aimed at resisting the anti-liberation forces, to continue the ongoing development activities of the govt, and to ensure victory of Boat symbol in next election.
Representatives from 14 thanaunits, 42 ward units, unit and ward units of the front organizations were present.
