A grand rally demanding immediate release of BNP chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia was held yesterday in front of Chittagong city BNP office in the city with recently freed BNP leader Dr.Shahdat hossain in the chair. The meeting proceedings unveils through condoling the deaths of US Bangla air victims that occurred in Nepal. Among others, Secretary General of BNP Mirza Fakrul Islam Alamgir, BNP Standing Committee Member Khondakar Moshraf Hossain, Barrister Moudud Ahmed , Mirza Abbas, Dr. Moin Khan, Amir Khasru Mahmud chowdhury were present in the agitation rally. Secretary of Chittagong City Unit Abul Hashem Bakkar conducted the meeting .
Mentionable that BNP earlier declared to hold the grand rally Laldighi Maidan but lack of permission from police end, the meeting was shifted infront of party office at Nur Ahmed Sarak in city , sources said.
