Ahle Sunnat Wal Jamaat will organize a grand protest rally at Laldighi Maidan in city today(Tuesday) to protest the brutal killings of leader of Ahle Sunnat and Islami Front Bangladesh and popular TV personality Moulana Nurul Islam Faruqui and immediate arrest of the killers with exemplary punishment.
This was disclosed at a press conference held at Chittagong Press Club auditorium yesterday afternoon .
Member secretary of Ahle Sunnat Central coordination committee Mozaheruddin Bakhtiar read out a written statement before the media men.
Among others, President of Ahle sunnat Moulana MA Mannan, chief coordinator MA Matin, Moulana Abdus Samad, Moulana syed Mashidullah , Moulana Iqbal quaderi, Pyar Mohammad Commissioner, Prof. Abu Taleb Helal and Moulana Nurul Islam Jehadi were present in the press meet.
The press meet blamed the govt for not taking any effective measures of the killing of Chhatra Sena activist and talent student of Jamia Ahmadia Sunniya Alia Madrasa Saiful Islam and other Sena activists.
The written statement urged the all Olema Mashaek, Sunni flatforms, Khankas other social organizations with the concept of Sufism and sunniat to attend the grand protest rally today.
The press meet was requested the law enforcing agencies, city corporation, CDA, WASA to extend cooperation to the protest rally.
Member secretary Mozaheruddin in an answer to the questions of the journos told that next programs in connection will be declared in the grand rally if govt fails to apprehend the real culprits in killing the leader of Ahle sunnat.
He said this protest rally will be a ever largest one of present secenario.
Meanwhile, Ahle Sunnat Wal Jamaat observed Isale Sawab, milad mahfil in memory of Nurul Islam Faruqui yesterday at all mosques, khankas in Chittagong, a press statement said.
On the other hand, Ahle Sunnat, City Unit Chittagong formed human chain in front of Chittagong Press Club yesterday afternoon to protest the brutal killings of Faruqui.
