Northern University Bangladesh (NUB) held a graduation dinner on Friday on the occasion of the completion of LLB (honors) and LLM courses of the students of the Department of Law.
State Minister of Public Administration Begum Ismat Ara Sadique was present as the chief guest at the program.
Chairman of NUB Trust Prof Dr AYM Abdullah, the Vice-Chancellor of NUB Prof Dr Anwar Hossain, Pro-VC of NUB Prof Dr Anwarul Karim, Treasurer Md. Anwar Hussain and Registrar Lt Col (Retd) Aqtedar Ahmed Siddiqui were present as special guests.
One of the foremost educationists of the country, Prof Dr AWM Abdul Huq, Dean, Department of Law of NUB, presided over the meeting.
Prof Dr AYM Abdullah termed lawyers as the “architects of the social fabric” of a nation. He congratulated the Department of Law on its consistent success. He urged the graduating students to engage in world-class legal professions and called upon students to establish the rule of law in the country by proper utilization of technology.
At the end of the program, Prof Abdullah handed over degrees to the graduates. The program was attended by the organizational head of the Department of Law Afroza Bilkis, Deans of various institutes, departmental heads, faculty members, officials and students.
