GPH Group, a leading steel manufacturer on Tuesday donated 50 rickshaw-vans to the Chittagong City Corporation (CCC) to implement its door-to-door waste collection programme.
While addressing the handover ceremony at CCC premises, CCC mayor AJM Nasir Uddin said it is not possible to conduct all the development works by the government alone.
He also proposed GPH to take responsibility of the beautification of the road in front of Shah Amanat International Airport.
CCC councilors and high officials of GPH, including Additional Managing Director Mohammed Almas Shimul, were present at the ceremony.
