GP brings smartphones with Micromax, Lava

In partnership with Micromax and Lava, mobile phone operator Grameenphone has introduced co-branded smartphones at affordable price.
The operator on Sunday launched Micromax Q354 and re-launch Lava Iris 505 in the market at a ceremony in a local hotel following the success of previously launched co-branded smartphones, said a press release.
Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) Chairman Dr Shahjahan Mahmood unveiled the smartphones as the chief guest, said a GP press release.
Grameenphone Deputy CEO and Chief Marketing Officer Yasir Azman, Vice-President and Head of International Business at Micromax Sameer Kakar and M Zohorul Haque Biplob, Chief Operating Officer of Grameen Distribution Ltd, among others, were present.
Speaking on the occasion Dr Mahmood said, “By introducing these affordable smartphones, Grameenphone takes another step towards the implementation of Digital Bangladesh.”
The Micromax Q354 flaunts a 5.0″ display, a 1.3 GHz Quad Core processor, and boasts “freedom of storage” with its eight GB ROM paired with a one GB RAM. With a five MP rear and two MP front camera, it promises an amazing camera experience with a DY-tone LED Flash, and beauty features like smile detection, Gesture photo, Face detection, Face beauty mode, etc.
