State Minister for Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Nasrul Hamid on Friday said the present government under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has been working for overall development of the country.
“Poverty will not exist, if the common people choose Awami League in the next general elections,” he told a function of 50th founding anniversary of Chunkutia Girls High School in Keraniganj.
With school managing committee chairman Md Aslam in the chair, it was addressed, among others, by Upazila Chairman Shahin Ahmed, Upazila Muktijoddha Commander Md Shahjahan, Shuvaddhya Union Parishad Chairman Md Iqbal Hossain and Chunkutia Girls High School Headmaster KM Ilias.
Later, the state minister distributed checks for Taka two lakhs to five schools each to buy computer.
