Govt won’t survive after Feb: Goyeshwar

Staff Reporter :BNP standing committee member Goyeshwar Chandra Roy has commented that the present government would not remain in power after February-March next. “The people of the country are now talking that the government will fall within the time,” he said at a discussion in the city. Jatiyatabadi Karmajibi Dal, a pro-BNP organisation, arranged the programme at the National Press Club in the city on Tuesday. BNP chairperson’s adviser Shamsuzzman Dudu, the party publicity secretary Zainal Abdin Farooque and president of Swadhinata Forum Abu Naser Mohammad Rahmatullah among others addressedthe function with president of the organisaiton Haji Mohammad Liton in the chair. Goyeshwar said the BNP would come to power after the downfall of the Awami League-led government. The AL has realised it and for this reason, they are torturing the BNP men across the country, he said.  He came down heavily on the government for holding a stage-managed election on January 5, and said that political adviser of the Prime Minister HT Imam has exposed the real scenario of the election. The AL used the Election Commission to hold the one-sided election, he added.Goyeshwar also criticised the journalists for not writing the truth properly. He said abduction, killing and corruption are going on all over the country but the journalists don’t narrate these in their reports.
