BNP Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi has said that the government is planning to kill Begum Khaleda Zia denying her bail.
He came up with the remark at a press conference at the BNP’s central office at Nayapalton in capital on Sunday.
Rizvi said, “Begum Zia was perfectly healthy before she went to jail. But now she can’t move without wheelchair. She can’t stand on foot without anyone’s help and unable to eat properly. She is being treated in a small room at BSMMU.
“We are worried and we think that she deserves treatment in a specialized hospital. Otherwise,
an accident can happen at any time. We are demanding her unconditional release immediately,” he added.
BNP Chairperson’s Advisor Nazmul Haque Nannu, Dr. Mamun Ahmed, Assistant Office Secretary Munir Hossain and Taiful Islam Tipu were present at the press conference.
