The family members of enforced disappearance victims on Friday urged the government either finding their relatives alive or locate their remains.
They alleged the security and law enforcement agencies of Bangladesh were behind the disappearance of the victims who are mostly opposition politicians and persons with different opinions. The demands and allegations came from a rally hosted by Mayer Daak, a platform of the families of victims of enforced disappearance, marking International Week of the Disappeared. Holding placards and portraits of their missing relatives, the family members held the rally in front of the National Press Club and vowed for waiting for justice.
Every year, advocates against enforced disappearance observe International Week of the Disappeared on the last week of May.
