The present government, led by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, is trying to make the local industries as profitable to reduce dependency on foreign countries.
Industries Minister Amir Hossain Amu said this while talking to journalists after visiting three local industries under Bangladesh Steel and Engineering Corporation (BSEC) at Tongi here today. The minister visited different department of these industries and expressed his satisfaction over the activities of these industries – National Tubes Limited, Bangladesh Blade Factory Limited and Atlas Bangladesh Limited.
Local lawmaker Alhaz M Jahid Ahsan Rasel, BSEC chairman M Imtiaz Hossain Chowdhury, managing director of National Tubes Dr Aminul Momin, managing director of Bangladesh Blade Factory M Aluzzaman and managing director of Atlas Bangladesh Limited Engineer M Abul Kashem accompanied the minister during the visit.
