Religious Affairs Minister Principal Matior Rahman said the construction of 11 mosques under Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s priority project will begin by mid-March, 2018.
“The mosques are going to be built under the project titled ‘Setting Up 560 Model Mosques and Islamic Cultural Centers in District and Upazila Levels,” he said this on Tuesday at an evaluation meeting on the progress of the projects under the ministry for 2017-18 fiscal at the ministry’s meeting room here.
The minister informed the meeting that the estimated cost of the mosque construction project has been fixed at about Taka 8722.5 crore, said an official prelease here.
