Govt to set up more PTIs in 12 dists, JS told

The government has already set up 55 Primary Training Institutes (PTIs) in 52 districts and would set up more 12 PTIs in rest of the districts soon to ensure quality training for the teachers.
Primary and Mass Education Minister Mostafizur Rahman disclosed this in the Jatiya Sangsad on Sunday, while replying to a question of treasury bench member Mahfuzur Rahman. “We have taken a project to set up 12 PTIs in 12 districts soon to help improve primary education to a standard level,” he said.
The minister said the planned 12 PTIs would be set up in Jhalotakathi, Shariatpur, Narayanganj, Lalmonirhat, Gopalganj, Dhaka, Sherpur, Narail, Meherpur, Bandarban, Khagrachari and Rajbari districts.
The construction work for setting up PTIs at 12 districts is ongoing in full swing, he said.
