Fisheries and Livestock Minister SM Rezaul Karim, MP, on Sunday said the government will extend all possible cooperation for the establishment and development of sectors related to the fisheries and livestock in the country.
“Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is very much interested in the development of domestic industries…Therefore, the government will be provided all kinds of support to develop the sector and solve the problems,” he said.
The minister said this while speaking as the chief guest at the Poultry Media Awards 2019 ceremony at the CIRDAP auditorium in the capital, said a press release.
“We will also consider the issue of tax rebates in logical cases… If the fish and poultry food industry develops in the country, we will be able to reduce the cost of production and deliver fish, meat, milk and eggs to the consumers at low prices and at the same time, we will be able to export all these products abroad,” he said. Secretary of the Ministry Raunak Mahmud, Director General of the Department of Livestock Dr Abdul Jabbar Sikder, Director General of the Bangladesh Livestock Research Institute Dr M Abdul Jalil were present with President of Bangladesh Poultry Industries Central Council Moshiur Rahman in the chair.
