State Minister for Information Communication and Technology (ICT) Zunaid Ahmed Palak said the government will provide all out support to the flood affected people.
“The government will give support to the homeless people along with the rehabilitation of the flood affected agriculture and fisheries sector”, he said this on Thursday while distributing relief among the flood affected people at Sherkol-Shibbari area of Singra upzila.
The present government is always with the helpless people and our aim is to do welfare for the people, said the state minister. “All the flood affected people will stay at the flood shelter center and it is our duty to feed them”, the ICT minister added.
Amid the ongoing coronavirus situation, Palak said the country has to face two more disasters, saying that the people is facing flood immediately after ravaged by the cyclonic storm amphan.
Lauding the initiative of the present government, the ICT state minister said the government is implementing the Chalanbill development project at a cost of Taka 650 crore considering the welfare of the farmers living in the Chalanbill area which is recognized as country’s largest ‘food granary’.
The farmers inhabiting of eight upzilas including Singra would be benefited through the development project.
