The government will provide all necessary assistance for the research and development of jute bags to get rid of polythene. Environment, Forest and Climate Change Minister Md Shahab Uddin said this on Saturday while inaugurating a free fertilizer and seeds distribution program in Moulvibazar’s Barlekha upazila. “We should use jute bags instead of harmful polythene bags to sustain a livable environment. The government is implementing different eco-friendly projects for public welfare with the Climate Change Trust Fund.”
