The government is considering to nationalize 228 primary schools in three districts of the Chittagong Hill Tracts area.
A proposal in this regard was submitted to the primary education ministry along as well as to the highest level of government for nationalizing locally run 228 registered non-government primary schools, State Minister for Chittagong Hill Tracts Affairs Bir Bahadur Ushwe Sing, MP, said on Saturday.
The state minister said this while inaugurating bridge expansion work and construction of roads at Hebronpara under sadar upazila in Bandarban as the chief guest.
The Chittagong Hill Tracts Board is implementing the project involving Taka 20 lakh, Ushwe Sing said.
He said the government is sincere and committed to develop the Chittagong Hill Tracts area.
