Foreign Minister Dr A K Abdul Momen said the government will make a database incorporating details of all technology-induced Bangladeshi expatriates across the globe to enable them to utilize their expertise in the country’s development endeavors.
The foreign minister urged all Non-resident Bangladeshis (NRBs) to supplement the Bangladesh government’s effort to prepare the database when exchanging views with expatriates in Moscow recently, a press release said here on Thursday.
Terming expatriate IT professionals as asset of Bangladesh, Momen called upon all NRBs to make contribution to the country’s development.
The foreign minister urged the expatriates to uphold the country’s image abroad through pursuing “public diplomacy”.
Momen also urged Bangladesh expatriates living in Russia to invest in agriculture and food processing sectors of Bangladesh.
