Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni said the government has set a target to increase the enrollment rate of technical education to 50 percent by 2050.
“The government has set a target to increase the enrollment rate of technical education to 50 percent by 2050. For this, we have to build technology based skilled human resources,” she said.
The minister said this while speaking at an online seminar on the importance of technical education for the fourth industrial revolution as the chief guest under the arrangement of the Bangladesh Technical Education Board in city.
Deputy Minister for Education Barrister Mohibul Hasan Chowdhury and Technical and Madrasah Education Division Secretary Md Aminul Islam Khan were present as special guests at the seminar.
