Senior Secretary in Water Resources Ministry kabir -bin Anowar said that The government has taken preparation to helf farmers cope with the floods.
He blamed early rainfall in the first week of this month for the sudden floods.
Kabir -bin Anowar was addressing as chief guest at a Water resources development and Management Committee special meeting at Kishoreganj circuit house conference room on Tuesday afternoon, while Deputy Commissioner (DC) Mohammad Shamim Alam presided over.
It was addressed among others by
WDB Chief Engineer Abdul Matin, as special guests, Additional chief engineer Md.Asaduzzaman, Sr.Piolice Super (SP) Mashrukur Rahman Khaled Bpm (Bar), supernatant engineer Masadur Rahman, Agriculture Extension Department Deputy Director (DD)Saiful Islam, WDB executive engineer Matiur Rahman, Itna uno Nafisa Akhter and , Mitamoion uno.
The Water Development Board ( WDB)could not begin dam repair work in the haor areas in time as water from flash flood receded slowly.
