The government has set a plan to fix the level of productivity based on different sectors and subsectors of the national economy.
“There is no alternative to increase productivity to achieve the goal of building industrialized Bangladesh. We will have to go forward by increasing productivity in different sectors and subsectors, including agriculture, industry and services,” said Industries Secretary Muhammad Abdullah on Monday.
He was speaking as the chair at the national productivity executive committee meeting at the Industries Ministry, said a press release.
Muhammad Abdullah called for working in public-private partnership to accelerate the productivity movement. Among others, Bangladesh Small and Cottage Industries Corporation (BSCIC) Chairman Mustak Hassan M Iftekhar, Additional Secretary of the Industries Ministry M Dabirul Islam and Bangladesh Sugar and Food Industries Corporation (BSFIC) Acting Chairman AKM Delwar Hossain were present at the meeting.
