The government has taken decision to expand the National Service Programme (NSP) in 20 upazilas to create employment for the unemployed youths.
In this regard, the cabinet in the weekly meeting at Bangladesh Secretariat with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in the chair has given the approval to a proposal of the Ministry of Youths and Sports.
Briefing reporters after the meeting, cabinet secretary M Musharraf Hossain Bhuiyan said the 1,500 youths would be given training in each of the 20 upazilas to be selected basing on their poverty level classified by Bangladesh Bureau of Statistics (BBS).
