Govt to ensure world standard education for new generation

Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid said that the government will do everything possible to ensure world standard education for new generation.
On the basis of opinions of educationists and experts, he said, “We will take measures to refrain our students from going to coaching centers, using note books and removing all exam-related irregularities.”
He said this on Thursday while chairing a meeting of the committee formed to suggest the education ministry to fix their responsibility aimed at upgrading the standard of secondary education.
In the meeting, noted educationists and experts gave their opinions about education curriculum, modernization of syllabus, multiple questioners, and reforming the education system, including distribution of marks.
Among others, President of Bishwa Sahitya Kendra Prof Abdullah Abu Sayeed, Prof Dwijen Sharma, Dr Mohammad Farashuddin of East West University, Prof Dr Monzur Ahmed of BRAC University, Dr Aktaruzzaman, Dr Syed Monzurul Islam, Prof MM Akash of Dhaka University, Dr Muhammad Zafor Iqbal of Shahjalal Science and Technology University, Principal Kazi Faruk Ahmed and Shaymoli Nasrin Chowdhury addressed the meeting
