The government is set to construct 360 Liberation War Memorial Museums at the historical sites of 1971 War of Liberation aimed at imbuing the new generation with its spirit. “We are going to start construction of 360 Liberation War museums across the country as part of the initiative of preserving the historical sites of the great-war, as the project has already been okayed,” Assistant Chief Md. Mominur Rahman of Ministry of Liberation War Affairs told media on Monday. The government has taken the project involving around Taka 200 crore to preserve 360 historical places of the Liberation War aimed at helping the new generation know the glory and facts of the 1971 War of Liberation. A DPP (Development Project Proforma) has been sent to the Planning Commission on January last for its approval, he also said. The project is expected to be completed by June 2019, he added. The government has earlier built 65 Muktijuddha Smriti Stambho (Liberation War Memorial Monument) at 36 upazilas at different parts of the country.
