Health and Family Welfare Minister Zahid Maleque on Saturday said arrangements have been made to procure 21 crore doses of vaccine to prevent coronavirus for the people of the country. These vaccines will come to the country in phases.
He made the remarks at an exchange meeting with a member of the Bangladesh Private Medical College Association in the afternoon.
The Health Minister was added virtually in the event.He said 21 crore vaccines have been arranged. They will come to the country in phases till next year. When the vaccine comes, 80 percent of the country’s people will come under vaccination activities.
The minister added that about 1 crore 20 lakh people have been given the vaccine jab so far. Everyone will be vaccinated in phases.
