‘Govt to bring back fugitives of Aug 21 attack’

Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal has said that the government is pledged bound to bring back the fugitives of August 21 grenade attack in 2004 before the judgment of the case.
“Police and intelligence officials located nine most wanted fugitives out of 18 in different countries and multi-dimensional approaches are on progress to bring back them soon,” he said this on Wednesday while talking to BSS at his office.Mohiul Islam, Assistant Inspector General (AIG) of National Central Bureau (NCB) told BSS that the International Police Organization (INTERPOL) issued separate ‘red notices’ in all of its member countries to find out the location of five most wanted accused of the case in 2015 and 2017. They are-BNP acting Chairman Tarique Rahman, former BNP lawmaker Mofazzal Hossain Kaikobad, former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia’s Special Assistant Abul Haris Chowdhury, BNP’s former Deputy Minister Abdus Salam Pintu’s two brothers Maulana Tajuddin Ahmed and Ratul Ahmed Babu alias Ratul Babu.
