Chief Coordinator of SDG (Sustainable Development Goal) Abul Kalam Azad said the Government is taking steps to bring more dynamism in the activities of Chittagong Port by soon so as the next generations may get better output .
With this view , Chittagong Port is being ready with all facilities of loading, unloading in inner and outer berths.
The chief coordinator o SDG disclosed it while addressing the views exchanging with the port offiials at Bandar Training Institute duly presided over by Port Chairman Rear Admiral M Khaled Iqbal on Friday last , port sources said.
He further said in preliminary stage a 3-members committee headed by the secretary of Ports and shipping ministry will prepare a recommendations aimed at port development for sending to the concerned ministry .
He also requested the Port Ministry Secretary to monitor the works as per recommendations in every month. Abul Kalam Azad further said, Prime Minister keenly desire for development of the commercial capital city as it is the centre point of the business hub of the country.
As such govt is formulating a number o development projects for Chittagong Port, sources said.
