Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal on Sunday said drives against drug abuse are being carried out countrywide as the government has taken a zero tolerance policy against the menace.
“The law enforcers are running drives against drug abuse across the country side by side with raising awareness campaign among the people,” he told a campaign against drug abuse of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) at Zero Point in the city.
RAB Director General Benazir Ahmed and Inspector General of Police (IGP) Dr Muhammad Javed Patwary were present on the occasion, among others.
