Govt takes job oriented projects for poor people

Planning Minister AHM Mostafa Kamal said the government has taken some employment oriented projects for distressed population aimed at making them economically self-sufficient.
“The job oriented projects would be at Haors, Baors and Char areas for underprivileged people to make them economically self-sufficient,” he said while speaking as the chief guest at a four-day conference at Dhaka University Senate Bhaban.
Institute of Diploma Engineers of Bangladesh (IDEB) organized the conference on “Bangladesh Sustainable Development” with its president AKMA Hamid in the chair.
Director General of Technical Education Board of Bangladesh Dr M Rafiqul Islam Meer presented the keynote paper, while Director General of the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) Shahjahan Miah spoke in the conference.
Expressing his firm belief, the minister said that Bangladesh will turn into a middle-income state by 2021.
The country has achieved a sustained robust economic growth, development of human indicators and impressive social indicators, the dream of becoming middle income country will be fulfill within 2021.
