The present government, led by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, has been working relentlessly for bringing success in education development sector for enriching the country’s skilled human resources.
All teachers, parents, students and other stakeholders should come forward and work together for supplementing the government endeavor for overall development of the nation.
The observations came yesterday in a teachers and employees conference at Talanda Girls School playground under Tanore Upazila of Rajshahi district.
Omor Faruque Chowdhury, MP, addressed the meeting as chief guest with upazila teachers’ association president Zillur Rahman in the chair.
Upazila Nirbahi Officer Shawkat Ali, Assistant Commissioner (Land) Nilufa Yeasmin, Upazila Education Officer Amirul Islam and Union Parishad Chairman Lutfor Haider Rashid also spoke. Faruque Chowdhury said many of the national and regional problems including over-population, poverty and unemployment could be solved if the light of education is reached to all.
He called for qualitative and quantitative girls’ education especially in the rural areas for the sake of overall rural and urban development. The rural girls’ educational institutions should be transformed into time-fitting as well as centre of excellence through bringing those under close monitoring and supervision.
Lawmaker Chowdhury said the present government has adopted the country’s education and the primary education in particular as the thrust sector for the sake of infusing dynamism in all the development sectors.
Terming the education as power house he said cherished development of the nation could be possible through making it effective and meaningful.
