Govt sets instance of massive uplift schemes: Shahriar

State Minister for Foreign Affairs Shahriar Alam, MP, said the present government has set instance of implementing massive development schemes across the country.
People are witnessing remarkable success in various need-oriented fields like poverty alleviation, education, health, agriculture, power supply and communication.
Besides, he says the Bangladesh is now knocking the door of Millennium Development Goals and the nation is being adjudged and acclaimed as unique model of development in the world.
The state minister revealed this while addressing some public gathering to mark the inauguration of different projects in Bagha and Charghat Upazilas of the district yesterday as chief guest.
He opened the works of two village roads being implemented at a cost of around Taka 80 lakh by Local Government Engineering Department. Besides, he switched on a Taka 62-lakh rural electrification scheme.
The six-kilometer distribution line creates connection scopes of 423 consumers.
Shahriar Alam said the Awami League government has a national uplift plan till 2041 that will take forward the country. He vowed that the terrorists and destructive activities unleashed by the Jamaat-shibir will be rooted out and urged the people to keep vigil against any sorts of sabotage and anarchy.
He has expressed his firm commitment to work for local development and peoples’ welfare.
He said people of the country have reelected the government through extending spontaneous support to keep pace with the development and democratic process. The government will work for fulfilling the hopes and aspirations of the people in general.
General Manager of Natore Pally Bidyut Samity Belal Uddin, Upazila Nirbahi Officers Russel Sabrin and Badal Chandra Halder and District Primary Education Officer Abul Kashem, among others, were present on the occasions.
