Govt reaching services to common people using ICT

The present government has been reaching services easily at doorsteps of the common people utilising the information and communication technology (ICT) in the process of building a middle income nation.
Government officials said this yesterday while addressing concluding ceremony of the day-long Divisional Innovation Circle (Rangpur Chapter) meeting held at conference room of the Divisional Commissioner in the city.
Office of the Divisional Commissioner, Cabinet Division and Access to Information (A2I) Programme of the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) jointly arranged the divisional level innovation circle meeting.
Deputy Commissioners, Additional Deputy Commissioners (Education & ICT), Upazila Nirbahi Officers, Members of District Innovation Teams and officials of government departments from eight districts under Rangpur division attended the event.
Additional Secretary (District and Field Administration) of the Cabinet Division Md. Maksudur Rahman Patwary addressed the meeting as the chief guest with Divisional Commissioner Kazi Hassan Ahmed in the chair.
Capacity Development Specialist of the A2I Programme Manik Mahmud attended the meeting as the special guest.
Additional Divisional Commissioner (General) Minu Shill, Additional Divisional Commissioner (Revenue) Abdul Mazid, Additional Deputy Inspector General of Police for Rangpur Range Bashir Ahmed, Deputy Commissioner of Rangpur Rahat Anwar, addressed, among others.
Manik Mahmud narrated about the success of nurturing innovative thoughts, ideas and innovations by the public administration in reaching services to the common people, its progress and necessary steps taken for attaining more success.
The Deputy Commissioners discussed on progress achieved by their respective Innovation Team in providing services to the common people using social media and other innovative methods and their future annual action plans.
