The government has imparted 18 months informal education and six months capacity building training to some 90,000 children for eliminating child labour.
State Minister for Labour and Employment M Mujibul Haque Chunnu said this on Thursday while replying to a question from treasury bench member Begum Lutfa Taher in the House.
He said the government has also a plan to bring 60,000 more child labours under the fourth phase of ‘Reduction of Child Labour at Risk Job in Bangladesh’ project.
Chunnu informed the House that the government has provided 18 months informal education along with six months capacity building training to 50,000 child labours since 2009 to June 30, 2014.
