The government is distributing Mashkolai seeds and other agri-inputs among 2,000 poor and marginal flood-affected cultivators as incentive so that they feel encouraged to cultivate the food grain on their land.
Farmers of Manikganj Sadar, Ghior, Daulatpur, Shibalaya and Harirampur are getting the incentive from the government, said Md Shahjahan Ali Biswas, deputy director of department of agricultural extension.
Each of the marginal flood affected cultivator is getting 5 kilograms of Mashkolai seed, 10 kgs of DAP and 5 kgs of MOP fertilizers for cultivating Mashkolai on their land, he added.
