The Government has made profit of Tk 120.53 millions as revenue in 2015-2016 fiscal year from Bogra Regional Immigration and Passport Office.
A huge people coming from 12 upazilas of the district are getting noteworthy citizen service daily from regional immigration and passport office in Bogra as the authority concern are monitoring the office premises round the clock to ensure the service.
Assistant director of regional passport office Salah Uddin disclosed that government has profited TK. 12, 530, 5019 from Bogra office in this fiscal year (FY) 2015-16 on Wednesday while the correspondent was seeking accurate figure of revenue of the last fiscal year. To come out of that plight the immigration and passport the authority has taken up different development schemes. Under those schemes they have procured digitalized all sort of passport work performing timely.
The authority concern informed that a total 34,000 passport hanker after have submitted their application papers to the office to get passport timely , among these 33,000 were disbursed to the clients successfully, 600 is yet pending and another 400 applications have been canceled for different causes in this fiscal year (FY) 2015-16 from the office.
A passport holder Abu Raihan, 34, at Paikpara village under Dupchanchia upazila said, we are getting a standard service from the office due to concerning the assistant director. No broker or cheat man is seen in the office premises, he added.
A fable woman Golezan Begum, 56, said, she gets her passport timely from the office yesterday as she has to go India for better treatment. She expresses that a counter has been set up for fable, children and aged people to ensure standard service from the early morning till afternoon.
