UNB, Cumilla :
BNP senior leader Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain on Monday said the government is hatching a serious ‘plot’ to ‘stage another January-5 style lopsided’ election in a bid to hang onto power.
“Country’s most popular leader Khaleda Zia has been kept in solitary confinement in jail as part of the deep plot of the government,” he said. Mosharraf, a BNP standing committee member, came up with the allegation while speaking at a condolence meeting at Daudkandi upazila headquarters for local Chhatra Dal leader Jewel Pradhan Rayhan who died in a road accident. He alleged that the government is showing an ‘inhuman’ attitude towards Khaleda by depriving of her receiving treatment for her various ailments. The BNP leader

said their party will free Khaleda from jail through a vigorous movement, and join the next polls under her leadership.
Mosharraf said people are now united over their party’s demand for holding the next polls under a non-party neutral administration. “But, the government is ignoring the justified demand by using force.”
