Government offices reopened in Bangladesh on Tuesday after a long Eid-ul-Azha vacation.
This year, government officials enjoyed holidays from July 8 to July 11, with July 8 being a Friday.
However, the attendance of officials at the Secretariat in Dhaka was poor, with many people extending their vacation till July 14.
Banks and financial institutions also resumed operations on Tuesday.
This year, Eid-ul-Azha, the second biggest festival of the Muslims, was celebrated on July 10.
Thousands of people had left Dhaka to celebrate Eid with their near and dear ones at their native places.
