Land Minister Shamsur Rahman Sherif said the government is maintaining quota system for the disabled persons in the government and semi-government services in the country.
He said the government is also distributing necessary materials and instruments among the disabled persons to assist them for their education.
The minister said this on Saturday while addressing at an education materials distribution function organized by the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education at Atghoria Upazila Auditorium in Pabna.
He handed over 14 wheel chairs, 17 hearing instruments and 6 crutches to the disabled children.
Later, the minister released fish fries in a pond of the upazila headquarters.
