UNB, Dhaka :BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia on Tuesday alleged that the government itself is conspiring to destabilise the country through spreading terrorism and giving a rise to militancy.”She (PM) assures foreigners that she would curb terrorism. But she won’t do it actually. She wants to make the country unstable through spreading terrorism and giving a rise to militancy,” Khaleda said.She was addressing an ifar party organised by Association of Engineers Bangladesh at International Convention City Bashundhara in the city. The BNP chief also alleged that police are harassing innocent people and BNP men, and doing a ‘brisk business’ in the name a combing operation.She also claimed that around 2,200 BNP leaders and activists are among around 8,000 people arrested in the first three days of the ‘crackdown’ that began on Friday morning.
